Gluteoplasty is a procedure to correct the shape and size of the gluteal area (buttocks) and improve its appearance. Aesthetic problems in this area can be caused by or associated with the presence of excess skin and / or fat accumulated due to aging, heredity, drastic weight loss.
This procedure should not be confused with "brazilian butt lift", which adds volume through the transfer of adipose tissue (lipofilling) or implants. Gluteoplasty refers only to the removal of skin or fat by surgical excision and liposuction.
